Physical education classes for students with type I diabetes mellitus
Type I diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that requires constant monitoring of blood glucose levels and daily insulin administration. In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases, especially among young people and students. The period of study at university is associated with high mental load, stress and decreased physical activity, which can complicate the compensation of the disease. The relevance of this work is determined by the necessity to improve the life quality of students with diabetes mellitus through physical education classes, that are methodologically accurate. The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for organizing physical activity in diabetic students to improve their physical condition and to prevent complications. The study hypothesizes that regular physical activity, based on individual characteristics, contributes to improved compensation of the disease and overall well-being. The study used a theoretical and analytical method, summarized the data from scientific sources and practical recommendations. The paper presents the basic principles of selecting physical activity, lists useful types of activities, and gives recommendations for monitoring glucose levels during trainings. The findings confirm the importance of a systematic approach to physical education in this category of students necessary to improve their adaptation to the disease and the quality of life.
