Abstract:

In the modern educational environment, students inevitably face increased academic workload, stress, and emotional strain, which may negatively affect their psycho-emotional state. Regular physical activity, strength training in particular, contributes to maintaining psychological well-being. The purpose of the research is to analyze contemporary scientific studies devoted to the effects of strength training on the students’ psycho-emotional state. The study employs the method of theoretical review of scientific literature published in Russian and inrenational sources in recent years. The main mechanisms through which strength training influences an individual’s psychological state, including physiological and socio-psychological aspects, are considered. Data from studies investigating the impact of regular training on stress levels, anxiety, mood, and overall emotional well-being are analyzed. Systematic strength training has been shown to reduce anxiety and stress levels, improve mood, enhance self-esteem, and foster resilience to psychological pressure. These findings suggest that strength training can be considered an effective tool.
