Development of sports interests among girls engaged in volleyball during physical education classes in general education schools
The relevance of the research is determined by the need to foster a sustained interest in physical education among schoolchildren, especially among girls engaged in volleyball. Development of sports interests at school age is an important condition for forming a healthy lifestyle and personal growth of students. The purpose of the research is to study pedagogical conditions that contribute to the development of sports interests among girls in the process of physical education in general education schools. The study employed such methods as questionnaires, observation, analysis of pedagogical documentation, as well as methods of statistical data processing. The obtained results made it possible to identify key factors influencing formation of a stable interest in volleyball, such as an individual approach to students, creation of positive educational environment, and the use of modern methods of physical education. The study revealed that the systematic use of games and competitive forms of classes significantly increases girls’ motivation for regular training. In conclusion, importance of targeted pedagogical work for the development of students’ personal qualities and formation of a positive attitude toward physical education is emphasized. The presented recommendations can be used in the practice of physical education in general education institutions.
