The purpose of the study is to identify the key trends in the development of student sports at Agricultural Universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Methods and organization of the study.

This article traces the evolution of higher education regulation – from a rigid centralized model with uniform standards and strict oversight to gradual decentralization, expanded university autonomy, and the introduction of internal quality assurance procedures, accreditation mechanisms, and independent evaluation.

The article examines physical education as an important component in implementing social and educational function of the modern university. It is noted that physical culture within the educational environment performs not only a health-improving but also a significant social and educational role, contributing to the development of students’ health culture, self-discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and readiness for civic engagement.

This study examines the staffing system of student sports clubs (SSCs) in Russian higher education institutions. It aims to identify systemic challenges and justify viable solutions. The research draws on an analysis of the regulatory framework, systems analysis, and logical modeling. The findings reveal a fundamental contradiction between the legislative requirement to establish SSCs and the absence of a sustainable financial mechanism for compensating coaching and teaching staff.

In modern conditions, eSports have transformed into a large industry requiring professional management. Particular attention is drawn to the preparation of qualified eSport managers capable of organizing tournaments, being involved in marketing activities, and managing teams. Krasnoyarsk region stands out among leading territories in Russia in terms of developing computer sports competitions, becoming a platform for launching innovative educational initiatives and practices.

The study focuses on the application of quality management methods and tools in organizing cyber sports events at Siberian Federal University. Key components of successful competition management, such as process-based approach, continuous improvement, process documentation, and customer satisfaction evaluation, are analyzed. Practical outcomes from implementing these methods demonstrate increased participant and audience satisfaction, higher participation rates, enhanced university reputation, and improved learning environments for students.

The article shows the current state and development trends of student computer sports in the Russian Federation. The relevance of the study is due to the growth of youth interest in esports and its integration into the educational environment. The purpose of the study is to identify the key factors influencing the development of student esports, as well as to formulate recommendations for its further promotion.
