Udmurt State Agrarian University (UdGAU) is one of the modern specialized educational institutions in Russia. This university is an educational, scientific and sports center for training agricultural specialists. Since the establishment of the university, the Department of Physical Education has also been established, which employed few specialists invited from other cities of Russia. Enthusiastic teachers searched for talented student-athletes, and various sports events were held.

Creation of modern professional, focused on meeting the needs of the student youth physical culture and recreation environment of the university will create opportunities for solving problems aimed at the development of student sports, improving the quality of life in general and the level of health in particular.

This article provides a review of various innovative types of physical education and sports activities. The study was conducted among people aged 18–50, including students of Kuban State Agrarian University named after I. T. Trubilin and those working outside the field of physical education and sports. The study provides detailed information on new types of activities, including virtual reality and immersive fitness classes. Conclusions based on the work done are presented.

This article presents the features of mastering the academic discipline “Physical Education and Sport” by university distance students, as well as problems related to its teaching. Some trends in the development of educational systems related to the use of information technologies, in particular, distance learning and a blended form of organization of the educational process, as the most promising, are considered.

This article examines the stages of formation and development of innovative digital sports sections, sports programming ones in particular, in the Donetsk People’s Republic in 2022–2024. The process of creating innovative digital sports sections in student sports clubs is shown in order to popularize and attract talented youth to the field of digital technologies. The need for athletes-programmers and cybersportsmen for realization of the full technological sovereignty of our country is noted.

The idea of holding distance competitions in sports is not new. With the development of information technology, the possibilities for conducting them have increased. A significant impetus for this trend was given during the period of restrictive measures due to the spread of COVID-19. Today, the distance format of competitions is used in many sports. However, to date, this approach has not been properly analysed theoretically. The purpose of the study is to generalize the experience of conducting distance competitions.

Analyzing many official documents of recent years, we can conclude that the reform of higher education is expected in our country. It is also necessary in the system of physical education of students, because over the years of study at university the physical condition of most students deteriorates, and rarely any students manages to form universal competence in self-assessment, self-organization and self-development.

The introduction of innovative approaches in the last decade has taken on a new form and character. Analyzing various methods of innovative development in sports and its impact on sports results, as a factor that improves the effectiveness of the educational and training process in the preparation of athletes of various qualifications and their physical fitness, it can be confidently noted that it is necessary to choose the right innovative path of development in health-saving technologies.

The analysis of normative and legal base of provision with objects of sports infrastructure of educational organizations of higher education is conducted. The results of monitoring the provision of educational organizations of higher education with sports infrastructure facilities for 2022–2023 are presented.

The authors consider the necessary conditions and principles of digital transformation of public administration, including in the field of physical culture and sports. The analysis of normative documents defining the processes of digital transformation in the field of physical culture and sports is carried out, the forms of manifestation of trends in the digitalization of physical culture and sports are determined.
