Student events of the Russian Esport Federation

The paper provides an overview of student events held by the Russian Esport Federation. These events include Open Esports Student Games – 2024, National Student Esports League – 2024, All-Russia Esports Student League of SBER and 3rd All-Russia Forum “Esports Leaders” – 2025.

Organizing esports athlete’s workplace

Rapid development of esports as a professional activity has generated scientific interest in the health and performance of esports athletes. However, workplace design, a key factor in preventing occupational diseases and improving well-being, remains understudied, making this theoretical analysis relevant. The aim of this article is to analyze existing esports workplace design knowledge. The current regulatory framework partially regulates ergonomic requirements for an esports athlete’s workplace.

Mental training in psychological preparation of an esports athlete

World practice shows that in conditions of high competition in esports, not only technical, but also psychological training of players is of key importance. Effectiveness of mental training as a method for building resistance to stress, increasing concentration and speeding up decision-making in the game disciplines of “Dota 2” and “Counter Strike 2” is substantiated. The aim of the study is to adapt the mental training technique developed in classical sports to the specifics of esports activities.

The role of educational institutions in training eSports managers: The experience of Siberian Federal University

In modern conditions, eSports have transformed into a large industry requiring professional management. Particular attention is drawn to the preparation of qualified eSport managers capable of organizing tournaments, being involved in marketing activities, and managing teams. Krasnoyarsk region stands out among leading territories in Russia in terms of developing computer sports competitions, becoming a platform for launching innovative educational initiatives and practices.

Application of quality management methods and tools in organizing cyber sports events at Siberian Federal University

The study focuses on the application of quality management methods and tools in organizing cyber sports events at Siberian Federal University. Key components of successful competition management, such as process-based approach, continuous improvement, process documentation, and customer satisfaction evaluation, are analyzed. Practical outcomes from implementing these methods demonstrate increased participant and audience satisfaction, higher participation rates, enhanced university reputation, and improved learning environments for students.

Phygital sports at a technical university: An innovative approach to the development of future communications engineers’ professional competencies

The modern digitalization of society requires a revision of the physical education system at the technical universities, where traditional methods do not develop professional competencies in demand of digital economy, such as strategic thinking, reaction speed, and skills in operating technical systems. This article examines phygital sports – an innovative approach combining physical activity and digital technologies (VR, AR, drones, robots).

Regional peculiarities of the development of esports in Сhelyabinsk

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of development of esports in a large region of the country – Chelyabinsk region. The purpose of the study is to identify regional features and factors influencing the spread and popularization of esports in a given region. We applied a set of analytical research methods: analysis of scientific publications, content analysis, secondary data analysis.

The paper presents a report on the results of the regional forum “Rosstudisport. Steppe expanses”, which was held on December 12, 2024 in Orenburg on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Orenburg State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Corrective potential of esports technologies

The aim of this work was to decipher the cerebral mechanisms that are poorly studied at present and that participate in the recreational and psychocorrective processes that accompany video games during the training stages of a cyber athlete. A number of surveys were conducted at the Laboratory of Cognitive Problems of esports at the North Caucasus Federal University. Popular video games, the Bass – Darky test were used, cyber accuracy was recorded, correlation, approximation and semantic analysis of the data obtained were carried out.
