Organizing esports athlete’s workplace

Autors:
Alyabeva Victoria A., All-Russian public organization “Russian eSports Federation”
Abstract:

Rapid development of esports as a professional activity has generated scientific interest in the health and performance of esports athletes. However, workplace design, a key factor in preventing occupational diseases and improving well-being, remains understudied, making this theoretical analysis relevant. The aim of this article is to analyze existing esports workplace design knowledge. The current regulatory framework partially regulates ergonomic requirements for an esports athlete’s workplace. A significant lack of relevant recommendations in methodological and scientific research on establishing correlations between workspace parameters and indicators of esports performance, health, and well-being is identified. The need to develop evidence-based recommendations for creating a safe and highly effective work environment in esports is emphasized.
