Methodology of psychophysical preparation of students of civilian universities for service in the armed forces
The article presents specifics of implementation of the method of psychophysical preparation of university students for service in the armed forces of the Russian Federation. In the process of research, it was determined that not all students graduate with the necessary level of psychophysical readiness (i.e. physical, psychological, theoretical components). To improve efficiency, a methodology of psychophysical preparation for service in the armed forces on the basis of militaryapplied skills was developed, which made it possible to correct the identified shortcomings in the process of implementation of the discipline “Fundamentals of Military Training”. The aim of the study is to develop and implement in the educational process of students methodology of psychophysical preparation for service in the armed forces of Russia on the basis of military-applied skills. The content of the lessons included relevant topics, taking into account the current conditions of military service and geopolitical situation in the world. Simulation and modeling situations as well as paramilitary games were used in practical classes. Taking into account the peculiarities of “hybrid wars” armed conflicts, the classes included trainings on the formation of psychological stability, the ability to make prompt decisions in various situations, and the ability to act under conditions of uncertainty. Familiarization with modern equipment was carried out, including a flying device that can be controlled remotely or operate autonomously. A number of topics were devoted to patriotism, military-historical education, and the basics of tactical medicine.
The verification of the methodology allowed to increase the indicators of psychophysical preparedness of civilian university students for service in the armed forces. As a result, the indicators of physical fitness improved by 9%, military-applied skills by 6%, psychological readiness by 46%, and theoretical knowledge by 19%.
