Abstract:

The article is devoted to the analysis of the formation of general cultural competencies among students of a medical university in the context of the division of the discipline “Physical culture and sport” into two disciplines – “Physical culture and sports” and “Elective disciplines on physical culture”. The study of the theoretical sections of the syllabus on physical culture is limited to the framework of the autumn semester of the 1st year after such a division. It is proposed to allocate part of the hours allocated for the development of applied physical culture to the study of the basics of health-related physical culture, considering that knowledge, skills, and abilities to use the means of physical culture are necessary in the professional activity of a doctor
