Experience in developing solutions for phygital projects

Abstract: 

The article presents experience of developing phygital projects by student teams from the Saratov Regional Basic Medical College as a part of their participation in competitions of the international Olympiad “IT-Planet”. In these projects, capabilities of modern information technologies are aimed at supporting and developing human physical activity. The developed solutions can be used in health and rehabilitation practices, for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and for physical education and sports. Special attention is paid to a promising direction of developing a new applied medical sport, phygital lifewrestling, which combines medical educational orientation, physical training, and the use of digital simulators. The role of gamification and virtual reality in fostering innovative formats in medical education is discussed.
