Kickboxing as a means of improving university students’ academic performance

The purpose of this study is to examine, compare, and interpret findings related to the beneficial effects of sport, kickboxing in particular, on students’ academic performance in higher education and extracurricular activities. The study compared two groups of male and female students aged from 18 to 25. Such parameters as subjective feelings of fatigue, joy, as well as semester grades and achievements in extracurricular activities were taken into account. The results revealed a correlation between students’ grade point average and regular training.

The impact of physical education and sports on the development of physical qualities of medical students

The health of students is one of the most pronounced indicators of the state of well-being and well-being of the country’s population as a whole, one of the most important key benchmarks determining the well-being of society. Today, the educational process, in terms of its specifics, technology, structure, amount of information and conditions of classes, places demands on young people that do not always match their individual, age, mental and physical capabilities.

Small-sided soccer formats for the integrated development of 10–12-year-old soccer players

Modern training of young soccer players is aimed at the simultaneous development of physical and technicaltactical qualities, while in the practice of coaches working with 10–12-year-old athletes a significant proportion of training time is still occupied by isolated exercises that are weakly related to the competitive structure of the game.

Improving the strength of university students as a means of improving the test results for fulfilling the requirements of the Ready for Labor and Defense Standard

This article describes importance of developing strength as one of the physical qualities evaluated in the All-Russian physical education and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense”. The analysis of the results of the conducted research on improving strength is also presented. The study involved first-year students of Vyatka State University.
