New types of physical and sports activities as a means of increasing motivation for physical education and sports

This article provides a review of various innovative types of physical education and sports activities. The study was conducted among people aged 18–50, including students of Kuban State Agrarian University named after I. T. Trubilin and those working outside the field of physical education and sports. The study provides detailed information on new types of activities, including virtual reality and immersive fitness classes. Conclusions based on the work done are presented.

Blended learning in physical education of distance students

This article presents the features of mastering the academic discipline “Physical Education and Sport” by university distance students, as well as problems related to its teaching. Some trends in the development of educational systems related to the use of information technologies, in particular, distance learning and a blended form of organization of the educational process, as the most promising, are considered.

Concept of the content of the technical task of the mobile application “VDvizhenii” for regulating the motor activity of students

The article presents a theoretical model of a prototype of a domestic application that regulates the motor activity of university students. The reasons are substantiated for the development and design of the technical task of reference for a mobile application. The positive aspects are indicated of using a mobile application of domestic development in the educational process in the disciplines (modules) of physical culture and sports.

Physical culture and sports as means of students’ social initiative development

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of the development of social initiative of the individual in the modern realities of Russian society; it is proved that students are characterized by the highest social activity, and an educational organization, representing various types of educational and extracurricular activities (innovative, research, social, sports, creative, etc.), has the potential to develop flexible Soft Skills: communicative, organizational and leadership.

A study of the effects of physical education and sport on attention span and interhemispheric asymmetry in 19–20 year-old students

The article deals with the influence of systematic physical training and sport on the concentration of attention and interhemispheric asymmetry in the students of the higher education educational institution aged 19–20 years. The review of the literature corresponding to the research issue is given. The Amatuni test was used for the practical physiological study. On the basis of the study the author has made conclusions about the impact of physical education and sports on the mental activity of students.

Chronology of student sports development: From individual issues to a systematic approach

The article provides a retrospective analysis of the student sports development for the period from 1991 to 2022. The stages of the development are defined based on the research of legislation and other legal acts, strategic planning documents in the fields of physical culture and sports, education and youth policy. The key features of the development of student sports at each stage are presented. Conclusion about the need of a systematic approach to the student sports development is made.

The use of innovative technologies in a pedagogical university in the implementation of disciplines (modules) in physical culture and sports

The article presents research data related to the interest of teachers in the use of information technologies in the educational process of the university in the discipline (module) of physical culture and sports. The reasons for the introduction of mobile applications into the educational process for reading sports results (number of steps, speed, mileage, etc.) are substantiated and recommendations for teachers of higher educational institutions on improving pedagogical skills when using information technologies are determined.
