Regional potential for training swimmers with musculoskeletal disorders: Analysis of the competitiveness of subjects in the Siberian Federal District at the 2025 Russian Championship

Autors:
Simonova Alina G., Siberian State University of Physical Education and Sports
Abstract:

The study assesses the competitiveness of athletes from the Siberian Federal District at the Russian Swimming Championship for Persons with Spinal Cord Injuries (Kaluga, 2025). Based on a quantitative analysis of medal results, key trends in athletic performance were identified, taking into account the functional classification (S1–S10, SB1–SB9) of the participants. A pronounced regional asymmetry was established, with the Altai Territory and the Omsk Region occupying dominant positions. The results of the study formed the basis for recommendations on optimizing the organizational and resource support for the training process of athletes with musculoskeletal disorders.
