Abstract:

The paper examines the specific features of physical education for students of music universities, identifying key issues related to limited physical activity and occupationally determined diseases. Based on the analysis of practical experience and the results of pedagogical observations, the study proposes some ways to optimize physical education for music students. Examples of effective exercises and organizational solutions aimed at maintaining health, enhancing work capacity, and developing professionally significant physical qualities are presented. The aim of this study is to determine the role and significance of physical education in the educational environment of music universities and to develop recommendations for its improvement, taking into account the professional characteristics of music students. Introduction of specialized physical training courses, focused on the development of posture, coordination, flexibility, and respiratory function, into the curricula of music educational institutions will help reduce the incidence of diseases, increase resilience to physical and emotional stress, and develop students’ professional skills in the field of music The study surveyed music students from vocational and higher education institutions enrolled in years 1–4. The study involved 31 students, 6 of whom were in the experimental group and 24 comprised the control group.
