Adaptation of student-athletes to technological distractors: Integrating UAVs into the training process as an element of sports reserve preparation
The relevance of the research is driven by an active integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into sports events and the insufficient understanding of their psychophysiological impact on athletes. The aim is to substantiate and propose methodological approaches to using UAVs in the training process of student teams as a means of adaptation to technological distractors. The hypothesis suggests that systematic and dosed use of drones within the developed model will lead to the extinction of the orienting response and the reduction in distractibility. The study has employed theoretical analysis, pedagogical modeling, and full-scale safety assessment experiments. Based on experimentally verified safety parameters (22 controlled impacts, noise level 63–73 dB), a three-level adaptation model has been developed, comprising introductory, passive-adaptive, and active-integration stages. Transition criteria, psychophysiological markers (heart rate variability), and psychological support tools for at-risk athletes (high perfectionism, latent anxiety) are proposed. An experimental research design (10–16 training sessions) has been developed. In conclusion, the proposed model represents a methodologically grounded protocol ready for implementation in the training process of student teams to build resilience to the factors of the digital competitive environment.
