The article examines the limitations of the traditional differentiated model of training kickboxers and the potential of the situational approach as a basis for integrating tactics and technique. It is shown that the separate development of technical, tactical and physical components is not accompanied by their functional integration within the structure of the bout, which produces a skill that is stable under training conditions but loses reliability when the opponent actively resists.
