The role of physical education and sport in preserving and strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values
The problem of preserving and strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values is particularly relevant today. The aim of the study is to determine the role of physical education and sports activities in the development of traditional spiritual and moral values among student youth. The study hypothesis is that planned and implemented physical education and sports events among university students contribute to the development of value orientations toward improving health, patriotism, humanism, collectivism, mutual assistance and respect, the preservation of historical memory and the continuity of generations, and the unity of the peoples of Russia. Research methods included analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, project method, and survey research method. The study summarizes and analyzes the experience of organizing physical education and sports activities at Nosov Moscow State Technical University and identifies trends and prospects for the development of student sports and physical education. Observations and sociological surveys have revealed an increase in the number of interested student youth involved in physical education and sports events as participants, volunteers, judges, and fans.
