Abstract:

The rapid development of esports has highlighted a lack of objective tools for assessing athletes’ technique. Nowadays most disciplines use disparate methodological materials that do not allow comparisons or monitoring of progress. The absence of reliable criteria makes sports selection and training planning more difficult, as coaches cannot clearly determine which exercises are effective for technical improvement and which are not. Moreover, the current Federal Standard of Sports Training for “Computer Sport” pays little attention to technical assessment, which complicates the transition of athletes between training stages. This study analyzes existing approaches to technique assessment in esports and outlines directions for developing new tools to standardize evaluation procedures. Key requirements for such tools are reproducibility, independence from game-specific settings, transparent interpretation of results, and the possibility of integration into educational and training programs are considered. The paper concludes that universal pedagogical tools for technique assessment in esports are urgently needed and currently under development.
