Mental skills of archers and their relationship to the results of sports activities
The low performance of highly qualified archers in competitions is a key problem that determines the effectiveness of competitive activities. Therefore, it is important to study the psychological factors contributing to the decline in athletic performance. The poor performance of highly qualified archers in competitions is a major issue that affects the effectiveness of competitive performance and requires the identification of psychological factors contributing to poor performance. The study of various aspects of mental skills and their impact on shooting outcomes constitutes an important component of the psychological training, enabling timely correction and enhancement of archers’ psychological preparedness. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between mental skills and shooting performance. The research hypothesizes that mental skills in archery have an impact on shooting performance. The study involved highly qualified archers as participants. The study used the following methods: scientific and methodological literature review, a survey, and correlation analysis. The results of this study provide a comprehensive assessment of the key psychological mental characteristics of archers and identify the correlation between the psychological preparedness of professional archers and their athletic performance. The findings can be used to improve the psychological preparation of archers for competitive activities.
