Under the conditions of changing social environment, first-year students of higher education institutions are at risk of stress, as well as entering antisocial groups. Since they have to adapt to the new social and educational environment, it can have an impact on their academic performance and lead to negative consequences of an objective and subjective nature.

The article is devoted to the history of the emergence and development of student sports at Donetsk National Technical University. The work is based on archival materials of the sports club of Donetsk National Technical University and reflects the events of 1921–2023.
